NGT-075-B2 Gamma Tool (182°C)
NGT-075-B2
Ruggedized, Gamma Tool (0.75” OD)
The NGT-075-B2 is the next generation version of our NGT-075-B. With its small diameter, it is ideally suited for mounting within drill-collar walls for azimuthal gamma or bulk gamma applications. New patent pending electrical and mechanical designs push the operating temperature to 182°C, improve shock and vibration performance, and make the NGT-075-B2 more robust against stresses from customer potting methods. After dominating the market as the industry standard 0.75” diameter gamma, this newest version of our NGT-075-B, continues this legacy.
Electronics
The NGT-075-B2 contains CBG’s new patent pending electronics designs. Encapsulated and cushioned within pre-molded high-temperature silicone pads, the printed circuit boards are protected from extreme shock and vibration. A new and innovative technique for providing electronics temperature compensation ensures a more stable output signal through the full range of operating temperatures. A burst filter has been added to reduce spurious counts that can result from excessive shock and vibration, as well as external transient noise.
Mechanical
The NGT-075-B2 has been completely redesigned without changing the overall mechanical dimensions of the NGT-075-B. Included is a new patent pending approach to mounting the crystal and phototube for improved shock and vibration performance. The circuit boards and wiring are enclosed beneath metal covers preventing exposure to external noise and physical damage.
